Things to Do This Fall in Daytona Beach, Florida

The 2015 summer season may be one for the history books, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do on the Atlantic coast – especially in Daytona Beach. Daytona Beach has three seasons already on lockdown: the biggest race in NASCAR, the Daytona 500, takes place in February each year, Bike Week hits beachfront asphalt for a full week of springtime cruisin’ in March, and summer is reserved for lazy days, catching waves and playing on the powdery white sands of the coastal strip.

But what about fall in Daytona Beach? Luckily there are plenty of activities you may have overlooked when considering your next trip to the original American beach, and with the weather cooling off and the kids back in school, fall is the perfect time to use some of that PTO for a well-deserved adventure to the Atlantic coast. Here are three of our favorite fall events and activities happening soon in Daytona Beach.

Take a Paddle Board Tour with Three Brothers Boards

Standup paddle boarding (SUP) has really taken off in the last several years on the Atlantic coast, and Three Brothers Boards has stayed well ahead of the curve. Three Brothers Boards dominates the Daytona Beach paddle-board scene, offering a great selection of original SUP designs, accessories and all of the essential gear you need to hit the water this fall. On the fence about taking the SUP plunge? Then schedule a guided tour with Three Brothers Boards, where one of their seasoned tour guides will take you and your group on a topwater adventure around City Island on the Halifax River, right across from their downtown storefront. You’ll navigate under bridges, coast with the current down the Halifax, and may even spot a manatee or two. Three Brothers Boards is located at 212 South Beach Street, suite 100 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

There’s nothing quite like hitting the open road on two wheels just when the leaves start falling, so if you are close to coastal Florida when the weather starts cooling off then you have to check out Biketoberfest. Biketoberfest is the fall cousin of Daytona’s favorite spring tradition Bike Week, and boasts many of the same events taking place throughout the week. Check out live concerts, visit biker hangouts at world-famous establishments like Dirty Harry’s and Iron Horse Saloon, and watch motor heads from around the world taking in the oceanfront scene while cruising down Daytona’s hard-packed sand. There’s a lot going on in Daytona Beach during Biketoberfest – with or without a bike. Biketoberfest hits Daytona’s streets and beaches October 15th – 18th, 2015.
